What is netsound.sh and how do I run it?

The script netsounds.sh gives audible warnings when the hpf looses connection with timshet.

  [sco@zeus ~]$ ssh -R 10002:localhost:10001 hpf@hpf
  [sco@zeus ~]$ /home/mcs/sir/dev/astro/trunk/operations/netsound.sh

1) There are notes about doing "ssh -R 10002:localhost:10001 hpf@hpf" on zeus.

Maybe I have been lucky and just never had a timshet fail, but I have never heard anything from this. Maybe there is some key thing I am missing.

I'm not sure if netsounds.sh is built specifically for the hpf timshet problems we are having (Set2023) or if it can handle other similar issues.
