Making offsets using Makers on the cameras

There are a number of different keyboard and mouse moves to create different types of markers.

To get the latest version of these you can bring up a help menu at any time. Do a shift-F1 while the mouse is in the dataframe region of the TCS gui.

• Alt + left mouse click - set a fiducial (to tell TCS to use the fiducial you must hit "Set Fiducial" on the Camera window)
• left mouse drag - set a box (to make the box a guide box you must hit the "Set Guide Box" on the Camera window)
• Shift + left mouse drag - set a manual centroid around a single star (blue guide box and centroid appear)
• Shift + right mouse click - set a centroid at the current mouse position (without drawing a blue box)
• Middle mouse click - center image
• Scroll wheel on mouse - zoom in and out
• Ctrl + right mouse click - move to marker
• Alt + right mouse click - move to fiducial

Move from manual centroid to fiducial

• Alt + left mouse click - set a fiducial marker
• Place a manual centroid
  • This can be done with a shift + left mouse drag to create a box around a star OR
  • shift + right mouse click to drop a centroid at the current mouse position
• Alt + right mouse click in the image
• This brings up a menu box allowing you to select telescope or probe motion. When making a move on ACAM check the correction box on this menu.
• Click 'OK' to move or 'Cancel'
• Wait for the motion to occur

Move from manual centroid to a marker

• load markers from the view pull down menu in the camera image window and hit ok in pop-up dialog box
• Place a manual centroid
  • This can be done with a shift + left mouse drag to create a box around a star OR
  • shift + right mouse click to drop a centroid at the current mouse position
• Ctrl + right mouse click on the target marker (Note: it must be within the area of marker)
• This brings up a menu box allowing you to select telescope or probe motion. If choosing a telescope motion for ACAM, check the correction box.
• Click 'OK' to move or 'Cancel'
• wait for the motion to occur
