Making offsets using Makers on the cameras
There are a number of different keyboard and mouse moves to create different types of markers.
- Alt + left mouse click - set a fiducial (to tell TCS to use the fiducial you must hit "Set Fiducial" on the Camera window)
- left mouse drag - set a box (to make the box a guide box you must hit the "Set Guide Box" on the Camera window)
- Shift + left mouse drag - set a manual centroid around a single star (blue guide box and centroid appear)
- Middle mouse click - center image
- Scroll wheel on mouse - zoom in and out
- Shift + right mouse click - select marker
- Ctrl + right mouse click - move to marker
- Alt + right mouse click - move to fiducial
Move from manual centroid to fiducial
- Alt + left mouse click - set a marker
- put a manual centroid (blue box) around the target star
- left mouse drag - set a blue guide box and centroid
- Alt + right mouse click in the image
- This brings up a menu box allowing you to select telescope or probe motion
- Click 'OK' to move or 'Cancel'
- wait for the motion to occur
Move from manual centroid to a marker
- load markers from the view pull down menu in the camera image window and hit ok in pop-up dialog box
- put a manual centroid (blue box) around the target star
- left mouse drag - set a blue guide box and centroid
- Ctrl + right mouse click on the target marker (Note: it must be within the area of marker)
- This brings up a menu box allowing you to select telescope or probe motion
- Click 'OK' to move or 'Cancel'
- wait for the motion to occur
