Terminology

• Krabbenhut:
  
  • The auxiliary building east of the control building in which the structure/instrument air compressors are located

• Quincy:
  
  • The larger air compressor, which supplies air for moving the structure.

• Champion:
  
  • The now-defunct smaller air compressor in the Krabbenhut which used to supply air to the science instruments and to the tracker brakes, now only used for its air tank.

• Powerex:
  • The newer smaller air compressor in the Krabbenhut, which supplies air to the science instruments and to the tracker brakes.

• Igloo:
  • The black thermal enclosure found on the rear of the platform under the truss.
