Meeting Attendance Policy for Night Staff

Version March 27, 2012, updated April 16, 2021

All night staff members are expected to show up to all general staff meetings, night staff meetings and special meetings, assuming that it is safe to do so unless they have either been scheduled for vacation or are on full night duty for that night.

For any meeting that is missed (either as vacation time or night duty), the night staff member is responsible for the information discussed at that meeting. The person calling the meeting (e.g., the facility manager or science operations manager) will distribute a summary of what was discussed after the meeting. If you are unclear or uncertain on any items summarized in the notes, please contact the facility manager or science operations manager to discuss further. These meetings are an important channel of communication between day and night staff.

Meeting Attendance Policy for Night Staff

Version April 25, 2006

All night staff members are expected to show up to all general staff meetings, night staff meetings and special meetings, assuming that it is safe to do so.

If the night staff member is going out of town or will be offsite on a scheduled trip they should inform the HET administrative assistant and place themselves as off-duty for that period of time. If the night staff member can not make the meeting for some last minute reason they should contact the night staff supervisor.

For any meeting that is missed, the night staff member is responsible for the information discussed at that meeting. The person calling the meeting, e.g. the site supervisor for general staff meetings and the night staff supervisor for night staff meetings, will set policy for how this information can be obtained.

For night staff meetings the staff member who missed a meeting must setup a time when they can discuss the content of the meeting with the night staff supervisor.
