specialities/projects apropos since HETmarkII besides night-operations preparations/execution

(A) done as far as it can progress so far, paused (B) waiting for resumed priority from mngmt, paused (C) done to handing-off point, availability to revisit (D) done (E) scope currently under discussion

TOPIC: control of observational phase-blocking/filling to suit several contrasting science driven modes (C)

TOPIC: statistics of HET transparency/skybrightness/IQ data, broken down to calendrical month level; sky brightness modeling in conjunction with this (A)

TOPIC: (for agenda) scheduling optimization algorithm endowed with freedom to lead or lag the naive best time (target slot) approach out to some effciency criterion ; used method of mock queues scheduled according to some contrasting approaches; in short, contrasting with HETmarkI where nonzero lead/lag was not explicit in optimizing scheduling, a Priority-Trumps-All method (taking in many hours as a whole) does well now (not racking up time gapping interims), although it is good to have a backup On-the-Fly ("what's the best target I can do right now and onward from that choice?") schedule re-constituting trigger ready for really disrupted situations (A)

TOPIC: nightcam hardware function, software control, software reductions (B)

TOPIC: backup satellite focus images analyzer (psfsat), robust to hotpixels and streaks particularly, for if and when the current default analyzer has apparently given up (D, unless a backup also turns out necessary for nastier type sky fields as well, in which case an analog robust version psfsky, could be fashioned)

TOPIC: work out decs for which the elevation 55 sidereal crossings proceed at the n x 45 deg d(alt in deg)/d(az in great circle deg) directions, and the start time corrections needed to plug into these tracks from start to finish, working only with htopx ; purpose was to get precisely timed and filled box-pointing exercises for tests instead of hit-and-miss outcomes (D)

TOPIC: photometry from guiders, goals of intra-night zeropoint control reliant on catalogued stars, and estimated magnitudes for uncatalogued stars reliant on intra-night zeropoint control (E)
