Priorities for the nights is Full science using LRS2 or VIRUS.
In one case we would like to use Parallel scripts to take science frames.
Twilight
Take LRS2 cals and specialtwilight VIRUS cals at the start of the night
Setups
- I have been placing the shuffle setups in /home/mcs/astronomer/17-1/
- Be sure to use shuffle_config_matt4 to setup files for do_shuffle
- I have been using lrs2g to find guide stars to move from LRS2B/R to LRS2R/B
Priority Targets
Get a quickly tightened stack so that you can get
- Index 897/898 M17-1-001 Holm15A with decent guide star GC1 00:41:35.968 -09:11:14.16 ok for LRS2-B -> LRS2-R but faint
Complete the stack and then do standards
During Dark time
- Observe two UT17-1-015 targets per track, ie. start at the beginning of the track
With any moon
- Observe one of the UT17-1-011 targets, preferably the one with the lowest Pri, e.g. 1 before 1.1 and 1.1 before 1.3
General suggestions:
- Disable PSU17-1-002 in htopx. These are very short targets probably only to be done as filler as you wait for something else to start.
- Disable PSU17-1-005 in htopx. There are lots of these but they are long. Only start observing them in a hole in the queue.
